The WordPress Community – The WordPress community is awesome. Even if you don’t want an out-of-the-box theme, you can still use one of the many frameworks available to build your site around, thus saving time (and money!). You can buy some really good ones for around $50 or so. A big market has started around paid WordPress themes. The themes are most likely a top reason people use WordPress over other ways to build a website. Your site looks professional right from the beginning.
The themes – WordPress includes free themes that are very good. Here’s a list of reasons why WordPress is the best way to quickly, easily, and cheaply build a website: I read a recent 2012 article that said 25% of websites are now build in WordPress. That’s why CMS systems like WordPress are so popular now days. Most people don’t want to get into coding. The problems with using FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc are standards and botched coding that make people directly edit the code anyway. If you’re starting your website from scratch, why not use WordPress instead? Why not move away from web editors all together and move to an open source Content Management System?

It should be comfortable for you to use since you’re familiar with the Microsoft UI paradigm. Expression Web will do what you need to do.
